Andre Agassi has serious problems with his back. Even playing an exhibition is a big problem and it appeared to be a bridge to far in Umag. In fact it was not Agassi, but Juan Carlos Ferrero who played Goran Ivanisevic. Both players showed that they are still in great shape. Goran started his service game with a couple of aces easily exceeding 200 kilometer per hour. Still it was the gravel specialist Juan Carlos Ferrero who won the game. Both players will be present in November in de Netherlands at the Afas Tennis Classics In Apeldoorn where they play ion hard court, so Goran has another opportunity this year to try to defeat Juan Carlos. Agassi was coaching the tennis gladiators and preparing the cozy players corners. He even provided Goran with his carpet slippers. Coaching was not the only thing Agassi did. At the end of the evening he did grabbed his racket and he played a double with Goran Ivanisevic against two very talented young boys. Both these youngsters and the veterans received a memorial trophy at the end of the evening.
