The qualifying matches are over in Umag, so it is known who will qualify for the main tournament. The Frenchman Enzo Couacaud had to play the decisive match against Reno Olivo. Enzo appeared to have little trouble with Renzo, as he only allowed the Argentinian one game (6-0, 6-1). That by no means means that Argentinians will no longer play singles in Umag. Francisco Cerúndolo, Mariano Navone and Ugo Carabelli have in any case been admitted to the main draw, but qualifiers Guido Andreozzi and Marco Trungelliti have also played their way into the main draw.
Marco won his match against the Portuguese Henrique Rocha with 6-3 and 6-2. Although the victory came without blood and tears, it did come with a lot of sweat because it was very hot in Umag. The victory was celebrated with coach and family as can be seen in the photos below. Guido Andreozzi managed to force a break each time in both sets in his match against the Taiwanese Chun-Hsin Tseng. He won in straight sets ( 6-4 and 7-5). The Austrian Filip Misolic is in a winning mood because after his great win against Jozef Kovalik, he also put aside the Spaniard David Jorda Sanchis (6-3, 6-4).
