In Umag during the Croation Open three former Wimbledon champions played an exhibition. Behind sat an boy, age around 8 year, and he started laughing at the start of the match and stopped only when every way was gone. And right he was, it was fun! At the center of the show were the three former Wimbledon winners Pat Cash (1987) from Australia, Richard Krajicek (1996) from the Netherlands and the Croation Goran Ivanisevic (2001, as number 125 with a wild card!). Even the Dutch Richard Krajicek who knows about the jokes of an exhibition (see for instance our posts about the Afas Tennis Classics), sometimes seemed surprised about what was happening next. Not only the referee playing tennis while Goran was sitting on the chair, but also ball kids, animals and artists who entered the court.
It was not only tennis what was on the program. Soccer was also scheduled! My 8 year-old friend behind me had the time of his live, and so had the rest of the audience!
