Yesterday we wrote about qualifiers playing only one match in singles of the qualification tournament in Umag. Today we present you the players who are finished (at least in the singles) after only two qualification matches. The young Russian Andrey Rublev won his first match against Jordi Samper-Montana quite easily (6-2; 6-4), but he lost from Attila Balasz from Hungary (6-3; 6-7; 2-6). Franko Skugor defeated the German Nils Langer (6-7; 6-2; 6-3), but the Croatian tennis player could not finish his match against the French Kenny de Schepper. He was one set (6-1!) and a break in the second ahead, but at the end of the day it was the French who won (1-6; 7-6; 7-6). Matteo Donati needed three sets to conquer his compatriot Walter Trusendi (4-6; 6-4; 6-3), but Marco Trungeletti from Argentina turned out to be too strong and Matteo was send back to Italy (2-6; 4-6). Frustration came to a climax when Stefano Napolitano realized that things were not going his way. His poor racket was smashed on the head several times and after that broken into pieces. But…., Stefano put the remains of his former racket neatly in the garbage bin. This action turned out not to be the game changer. After his former win over Tomislav Bric (6-3;7-5), he now lost against the Serbian Miljan Zekic with the same figures (3-6; 5-7). Below you find some pictures of the players we have to say good bye to in the singles tournament.
