While Garbine Muguruza won her first Wimbledon title, Gael Monfils was preparing his exhibition in Umag. And you can leave that to Gael. He turned everything upside down including himself. Besides a very good tennis player Gael proved once again to be a great entertainer. Together with Borna Coric and Ivan Dodig from Croatia and the Belgian David Goffin he held an exhibition match to bring the audience in the tennis mood at the beginning of the Croatian Open in Umag. The star of the evening was definitely Gael. Jumping and smashing like a volleybal player, he played tennis in a very unconventional way. Above that he was not only playing tennis. When a breakdancer entered the court also Gael showed his dance moves. Just check the photographs! Borna played together with some young, but very talented tennis players. The professional players turned out not to be selfish. They didn’t keep the court for themselves but gave way to ball kids and other youngsters.
