Gastao Elias is listed number 72 on the Atp-ranking. In Umag he has an opportunity to level his ranking. He is playing very well and he has reached the semi finales by beaten the Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta. After he won the first set with 6-4, he was 5-0, 15-0 ahead in the second. At that moment it was proved again that finishing a match is easer said than done. From this poor position Carreno Busta was taking his changes and improved his game, while Elias was going to make errors. The Spanish tennis player came back to 4-5, but on his own serve Elias finished the match in his favor: another 6-4 and a place in the semi finals for Gastao where the Italian Fognini will be his opponent.
