Robin Haase en Philipp Oswald have won the doubles title in Umag. Everything seemed to welll for the Dutchman and the Austrian. They won the first set (7-5) and were a break ahead in the second. They served for the match at 5-4, but lost their game. The second set ended up in a tiebreak which was won by their opponents From Austria,Olivier Marach and Jürgen Melzer (6-7(2). A deciding (super)tie-break had to be played. Both teams saved match points, but at the end Haase and Oswald won by 14-12. After all. despite his lost in the singles against Rublev, Umag turned out to be a great tournament for Robin Haase. For the second time in a row he won the double title in Umag, which brings his career total in the doubles to six. He also was last year in the single semifinals. For Philipp Oswald with the win in Umag the total of double titles counted up to nine.
As usual in Umag the Award ceremony was brightened up by several of the most elegant hostess. The prizes were handed over by the tournament director Lawrence Frankopan and by ATP supervisor mister Gerry Armstrong.
