The former Slovenian Aljaz Bedene (he became British in 2015) started with a win in the first set (7-5), but he couldn’t stand the fighting spirit of his opponent Nikola Cacic from Serbia in the second and the third set (4-6; 4-6). It must have been disappointing for Bedene to be out of the tournament in de first round. What left are the doubles. His is playing with Damir Dzumhur. Perhaps that will bring him luck. Damir is in the winning mood, by winning his first round match in de singles against Nicolas Almagro.
