Dominka Cibulkova has won the title in Katowice. Playing in Katowice was like a match at home. There was a great atmosphere in the Spodek arena and although there were also fans of her opponent Camila Giorgi, the majority of the audience supported Cibulkova the most. Bratislava is only a three hour drive away from Katowice so their actually were quit a lot of people from Slovak in the arena. Dominika started the match very good and was 4-0 ahead, but than Camila Giorgi started to play better and came back. With a 5-4 score Cibulkova managed to finish the first set (6-4). Normally Girogir puts a lot of pressure on her opponent by hitting the balls flat and very hard to the baseline. Yet this time it was the Cibulkova who dominated the match. Girogi didn’t win a single game in the second set: 6-0. Dominika Cibulkova a great champion. Later we will publish more about Cibulkova and we will add more photographs of the final.
